History of the Bikini

The history of the bikini begins far before the official start bikini swimsuit in the summer of 1946. Some historians believe that the bikini is probably one of the first public swimming costume there. Drawing evidence from 300 AD, Roman mosaics, historians point of a bikini bathing suit of choice for ancient Roman women. The history of the bikini, however, almost 2,000 years earlier than in ancient Rome to get started! Minoan wall paintings from around 1600 BC also depict women who are in compliance seems to be very popular two-piece bathing.
Official history of the bikini under the name, begins in the summer of 1946, a year after the tumultuous end of World War II. During the summer, such as France, the terrible consequences of war, two French designers almost simultaneously created and marketed the bikini swimsuit recovered. Almost at the top, says Jacques Heim, a fashion designer and shop owner resort beach in Cannes France, the creation of her bathing suit, "atomic" in the early summer of 1946. Called swimsuit as atoms because of their small size (known then the smallest particles of matter are atoms compared). Home means that his swimming trunks for sale in his beach shop. To drum business and awareness of a new bathing suit, shipped home Skywriters air high above Cannes, the proclamation of a new atom as the "world's smallest bathing suit."
Sadly for Jacques Heim, another French fashion designer also worked hard to create a bathing suit is very similar in the summer of 1946. Only three weeks after Heim began marketing his swimsuit, sent Louis Rearden, a mechanical engineer who decided to splash in swimwear design, Skywriters on the French Riviera. Messages in conducting marketing strategy Skywriters is a simple but powerful: "Bikini-smaller than the smallest swimsuit in the world." Maybe because Rearden knows marketing capabilities or a simple turn of fate, the name of Bikini, the official day for two pieces swimsuit.
Bikini has real first introduced to the world of fashion design at the July 5, 1946, as it is generated and displayed at fashion shows in Paris with French model Micheline Bernardini. The reaction was immediate and explosive bikini. As told by an American correspondent (in typical Texas style), "All of a sudden, see the blond named Micheline Bernardini ambles in each center (sic) can be deceptive is the smallest of the world of swimming, including West Texas. Why do people, who seem only so small that ... "Any number of sets can be fully explained this statement and quite the reaction of men to bikinis. Needless to say, even the most is that new swimsuit shocked and aroused by a true minimalist style.
Bikini began to be marketed and sold in the United States only a year after the launch in France. Response to swimsuit was great, but slow sales at first. Men and women who are fit to assume it was just wearing too bare and scandalous for conservative American women in public. American women actually approach swimsuit very gently until the revolutionary decade of the 1960s, where sales rose bikini big.
Bikini become an ingrained part of swimsuit design, it is surprisingly modern swimsuit is only 60 years. In accordance with its explosive nature, inspired bikinis and even more startling innovations in swimsuit design, including brief and bikini thong Monokini very popular. It will be interesting to know whether Louis Rearden has a flair, profound impact of two pieces of cloth only slightly from their original Bikini knowledge.
